🧭 Top of the screen
Every button at the top has its own place — they don’t jump around when something happens.
- The first row — the ☰ menu, day, season and weather, game speed.
- The map is 3D: houses, forest, settlers, weather, day and night. All orders and building work as on the flat map. The flat 2D map — the “2D” button at the bottom right; back to 3D — 🧊 at the top (on a phone — in “⋯”). The choice is remembered.
- 🔈 — the song of the shard: a soft chime, different for every world. It is louder near ruins, quieter and slower at night, and with chapters and Heart shards it gains more voices. The sound starts after your first tap; turn it off with 🔈 at the top (on a phone — in “⋯”) or in the menu settings, where the volume is too.
- ⛵ on the 3D map — the view from a ship: the camera flies around the colony by itself, the map fills the screen with no buttons — for a screenshot or video. Tap the screen or press any key to exit.
- The event bar — what is happening now: ⚠ what’s wrong, 🥱 who is idle, ⬆ who can be promoted, who is waiting for an answer, 🎯 finished tasks, 🍃 news on the wind, and later ⛵ expeditions, ⚔ bandits, ⚙ mechanisms. An icon lights up when there is something to do and fades when all is calm. The number is in the icon’s corner.
- Hover over a good (tap it on a phone) — the buildings that make it are outlined on the map.
- On a computer, below are all the colony’s supplies. On a phone — only the main ones: 📦 (all supplies by group), how much food (portions of everything edible) and wood, and if construction lacks something entirely — that too. When it runs low, the number turns red.
- On the right are windows: 📜 journal, 🎒 inventory and others. On a phone, the rarer windows (settlers, research, knowledge base, statistics, saving) are under the “⋯” button.
