🧭 Small stories
Sometimes the storyteller starts a small story at one of the shard’s places — in three steps, over a day or two. Each step is a journal entry with the place’s name (tap ⌖ to see it on the map).
- 🧭 A settler went for brushwood and didn’t come back — they are searched for. Found: sometimes with a bruise, sometimes with a find.
- 👣 Strangers’ tracks lead to an old campfire, and under it — a stash of supplies or gold.
- ✨ A strange light at night — in the morning there is shard dust on the spot, and sometimes an arcane core.
- 🪣 An old well with a passage under it — an underground spring (stone and joy for the settlers) or a niche with an item.
- 🐺 A beast howls by the houses — it is driven off (meat and hides) or leaves by itself.
- 🧳 A lost trader — feed him and walk him out, he’ll pay gold, and sometimes leave an item.
- 🔥 A quarrel by the fire — a settler is gloomy for a day, then makes peace, and everyone is cheerier.
- 🗺 A scrap of an old map — the cross leads to an ancient cache in a mountain: now it can be seen.
- Stories happen once every one or two weeks; if the storyteller is off, there are none.
