⛰ Landfill
⚠ Spoiler: this opens in chapter 6.
The 🔬 Earthworks research (chapter 6) unlocks the “Landfill” tool (⛰, key 8): builders fill the void at the island’s edge with earth, and the island grows bigger.
- Per tile — 6 stone and 3 clay (taken from storage when the builder goes to work; if the tile isn’t finished, they come back).
- Filling goes from the shore outward: the builder stands on land next to the tile. You can outline a wide strip — it will grow tile by tile.
- Void can be marked only if land is near (within four tiles) and not at the very edge of the map.
- New land is bare at first, and if nobody walks on it or builds there, it gets covered with grass in a few days.
- With the ✨ Pull Node (chapter 7) landfill costs half as much.
