Mountains, forests, lakes, streams and ruins on every shard have their own names: “Grey Mountain”, “Alder Hollow”, “Quiet Stream”, “Ruins of the Three Arches”. You see them on the map when you zoom out, and also in the tile caption and the ruins window.

Names are made from the world’s seed, so the same shard always has the same names, and they don’t change even if the forest is cut down.
